The City of Rocky River Recreation Department runs a summer youth day camp for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade, held at Hamilton Ice Arena ('The Rink'), which converts to a multipurpose camp facility for the summer. The program spans about nine weeks with a single one-click registration for the full season.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Rocky River Recreation Department directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

I love swimming here. The facility is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful.
What a beautiful facility. The whole facility is very clean. Large inside pool sectioned for different ages. Cute kids area. Same with the outdoor pool. Plenty of lifeguards . They have a little place to order hot dogs ( delicious) and snacks. Only obstacle is the FAMILY LOCKER ROOM for the inside pool. I had two grandkids, a 8 yr old boy and 4 yr old girl. When I opened the door and ushered the kids inside the first thing they saw was a adult male at the urinal. I decided to take them into the women's locker room and we ran into a issue of the boy seeing one little girl and one older lady striped down to change into their suits. I'll just have to guide my grandson in with his eyes closed.
The staff here desperately need sensitivity training to handle issues regarding people with special needs. The lifeguards need to all be on the same page. My kids were using the treasure slide. Initially, they had both tried to go down at the same time and the lifeguard and I both corrected them. They fully complied. They were then taking turns using the slide one at a time. None of the lifeguards were correcting us. One of the supervisors came running out to yell at my five and seven-year-old because one was waiting on the steps of the slide and the other was going down. She came out and screamed “ONE AT A TIME.” But that’s just it, I was in the water with them and they weren’t going at the same time. Unsure what they did wrong as the lifeguard on deck wasn’t saying anything. I even double checked the rules. They weren’t doing anything wrong and I was watching them directly. At this point, I just had the kids get off the slide because the woman was very harsh with them. This led to a pretty severe meltdown, understandably, because my son was following directives and rules. Not sure if this woman was just overwhelmed or having a bad day, or if this is normally how she is. The front desk staff, while most of them are wonderful, there is one that is very argumentative and rude. On a previous visit, my pass wasn’t working even though it had zero balance. This woman treated me like I was trying to sneak in a whole party instead of just taking two little kids to swim. While trying to remedy the situation I expressed to the woman that she was “coming off crass.” Instead of changing her tone, she became rude, argumentative, and told me I should “report it to her manager.” When I scanned my pass again, everything immediately came up. So it wasn’t even my fault. She didn’t apologize or anything. A different worker mentioned that this particular person has a history of arguing with patrons. So apparently this is a regular thing and she’s not corrected. I wish I could get my money back on my membership as I won’t further subject my kids to adults that treat them poorly based on whatever their work day is like. I shouldn’t have come back after the front desk staff was rude to me over their system error.
Used the outdoor pool with our son and really enjoyed ourselves! The area was clean, the staff were kind, and the water was just right! The locker rooms were nice and had a lot of space for changing privately and storing valuables if you so desired. It was a hot and busy day but we had enough space to grab a couple of lounge chairs in the shade and enjoy some family time. I didn't feel over-crowded in or out of the pool! A couple of the water features (pressure valves) seemed to be broken but other fun features more than made up for it. My 1 year old son loved the slide and enjoyed watching kids go through the spraying water.
