Rooms in the Lodge are being renovated with new flooring, furnishings, mattresses and bedding. Some rooms are being painted while others still have unpainted paneling. An amazing place for rest, retreats, reunions and other events.

I give this place a five-star because easy to get to location, and everything was clean. The food they cooked for us was tasty and professionally served in the staff was absolutely wonderful to deal with. We were here for the Christian motorcyclist Association annual seasons of refreshing for the state of Louisiana and I'm so glad we have it at this location each year. I would highly recommend to rent this facility for any type of church event, kids event, birthday parties, men's retreats, women's retreats, and if you have a big family reunion and want to support a good Christian facility this is your place. Now I will say this it will set you back in time to about 1975 to 1977... It doesn't smell musty and like I said it's very clean but it is a well-preserved for that era when it was built. Does not bother me one bit because it's cleaner than most of the modern $200 a night hotels that I stay in for business. They did say they're starting a renovation project over the next couple of years which will be nice but like I said this is a facility that has been taken care of in a great location and has everything from tent camping RV hookups lodges or bunk houses with room for 30 people plus hotel rooms with double beds. Has a wonderful chapel and many other rooms along with a large kitchen room that would be considered the main room where most everything would be going on. Didn't get to see much of the outside stuff I know the teenagers that were there said the facilities was really fun and loved the basketball courts off away from everything so they could just go be kids. I highly recommend this place and look forward to coming each year.
