Rock Academy runs summer music camps and workshops in which students take an idea from initial writing through finished arrangement, working as a band or solo, and perform on the final day of camp. Sessions are led by working musicians - a vocal camp with Grammy-nominated Tracy Bonham, a 'How to Rock' camp with Jason Bittner, and songwriting with Bobby Weiss. Camps are aimed at ages 8-18 and generally require some playing experience; posted tuition runs about $475, or $425 for enrolled Rock Academy students, and space is limited. The school is at 1293 NY-212 in Saugerties and also runs year-round lessons and band programs, with additional locations in the Hudson Valley.

Powered by GoogleMy daughter is having a great experience with Rock Academy. We are so lucky to live close by. A great opportunity and the shows are 👍👍👍
Rock academy is the best music school ever. You get to take lessons and get to play in shows with other band mates. The directors are great.
Wonderful music school for all ages, but mainly kids 8 to 18. Lessons on instruments by seasoned teachers and plenty of opportunities to perform shows featuring the music of classic bands. Still awesome in June of 2022. I am now taking drum lessons there. Learning a ton. There are also week long summer camps. My daughter just concluded her third summer singing camp with the fantastic Tracy Bonahm (no relation to John?
My daughter takes singing lessons here. Loves it! Victoria Levy is her terrific teacher.
