What started out as a boarding situation, quickly becoming a friendship. Many hours of trail rides, camaraderie and love for horses. It's not often you find horses that are 30+ years of age in the shape of a 10 year old horse, that goes to show the exceptional care that the Mulcahy's/O'dell's have strived to give their horses over the years! Riverside Stables is easily one of my favorite places to visit! Their horses are absolutely adorable, and the trail rides are stunning! The trail takes you through the timber and along the Sangamon River. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and especially great when I bring family members and friends who have never ridden before. The staff is patient and understanding and makes sure everyone feels comfortable, no matter their experience level. My 10 year old niece also had her birthday here a few years ago and wow, did she love it! She had so much fun bringing all of her friends and all the kids took turns riding the horses in the arena. It was definitely one of the highlights of their summer! Having worked on a ranch in Colorado and spent years around different barns, I can confidently say the owner here truly cares about her horses. I’ve never seen a place where the horses are so well understood and genuinely happy. You can see it in how they live and interact out in the pasture and how they treat all the riders that come to the barn. They're all so gentle, calm and sweet. It’s something really special. I even included my favorite photo below. The owner was kind enough to let my baby pet her beautiful draft horse, Farrah. My son LOVED her and Farrah perked up when she felt him pet her nose.😊 I highly recommend this barn to everyone I know wanting to start lessons or just enjoy a relaxing trail ride!

I absolutely love Riverside stables! I have gone there for years. I started doing horse camp when I was a little girl, and now I Enjoy going there for trail riding, As well as pony to leads for my daughter, who also gets to enjoy the horses. I really admire the way they take care of their horses, have such a clean facility, And the staff is so extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for always a great time Riverside! I highly recommend!

We loved the stables! Lots of sweet horses to pet and ride and the staff were all very nice and helpful. All of my questions were answered and information on birthday parties were told to us. My granddaughter loved her riding time and we will definately go back! My granddaughter even got to lead her horse to the riding corral. It was a wonderful time!
