Rising Treetops at Oakhurst is a nonprofit residential (sleepaway) camp in Ocean Township serving children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities, autism, and physical and intellectual disabilities. The 2026 season runs seven sessions for participants ages 8 and up who can communicate basic needs and take part in group living, including five-day autism sessions and 13-day youth sessions. Day camp and day respite are offered alongside the overnight program. The organization serves about 500 participants a year and also provides respite for families.

The staff has been wonderful and the administrators accommodating to our needs. I have always felt that he was safe there and he has also been happy to go. As a parent that’s what counts the most. The staff also helps with the financial part so that it’s not unaffordable.
