Richland Parks and Recreation is the City of Richland's parks department, maintaining 56 parks and 80 miles of trails and operating the Richland Community Center, George Prout Pool, and the HAPO Community Stage. Its youth recreation is organized as leagues and classes rather than camps, including youth basketball, recreation volleyball, and NFL Flag Football, plus aquatics and community programs. No summer day camp appears on the department's site.

At least, advertise and ask for community input before decimating native plants the week of Thanksgiving. Did you even consult an actual arborist or Heritage Garden expert to aid? The destruction of native plants like Oregon Grape while badly trimming invasive willows demonstrates the “removed” consciousness of this ignorant entity. If you need to placate voices, make sure those voices are the right ones. No one thinks clearing Russian Olives, a huge pollinator resource so backyard party-goers have a good view of the river is a worthwhile trade off in 2021. Bees are more important than views.
