The Richland County Recreation Commission runs summer day camps across Columbia, including a Summer Day Camp and Summer Explore Camp for ages 5 to 12 and a Teen Specialty and Sports Camp for ages 13 to 16. Camps run weekdays from early June through late July with recreational activities, games, arts and crafts, and conservation programming.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Richland County Recreation directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Clean and very comfortable. I appreciate being able to bring my son to basketball practice and feel he his safe. Thank you.
It was used as a voting precinct and it was horrible. Crowd too large to be accommodated and inadequate parking. No shade for people standing in line for four hours just to vote.
Ive been in line at this center to vote since 430 and only just got into the building at 7. I know. thats not really the centers responsibility but im getting the word out about it. There are 3 voting machines and almost no workers. This is clearly an attempt to discourage voting but we are all sticking it out with a clear and common goal to change the administration and supporter that wants to use these tactics and pretend we are not smart enough to recognize it.
Wasted money on classes that were paid for in advance online, but "don't exist", and classes that are cancelled every week. No one will answer me about a refund. Definitely won't be coming back.
