Renaissance Adventures runs Adventure Quest, a live-action role-playing day camp for children and teens that has operated since 1995. Campers work in small groups of about six, choose mythic archetypes and powers, and spend each day solving riddles and mysteries, following maps, and dueling foes with padded foam swords. The programs are designed around teamwork, critical thinking, ethical reasoning and communication rather than competition. Camps run at multiple Front Range sites including Boulder parks (Eben G. Fine, Martin Park), Mackintosh Academy and the Boulder Elks Lodge, plus Longmont, Louisville, Superior and Denver, and the organization also offers after-school, homeschool and weekend programs.

This camp offers an incredible combination of imagination and play. My kiddo loves it more than any other camp, possibly for the fantastic adventure quests that are at the heart of each day. As the use of AI grows exponentially, this camp encourages development of the type of innovative, out-of-the-box thinking that is going to be needed more than ever. The counselors are also all trained in conflict resolution skills, inclusion, and non-coercive leadership, which makes this camp unique in terms of how children are held and honored!

Renaissance Adventures led a super fun birthday for my 8 year old. Our quest leader Avery was creative and brought great energy for the group -- the kids had a blast!

We had the absolute best experience with Renaissance Adventures for my son’s birthday party! They organized a D&D-themed adventure quest where the kids had to help a dragon find his lost treasure, and it was truly unforgettable from start to finish. The entire process was seamless. Tiffany, who helps coordinate everything, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. She made planning the party completely stress-free. Our Adventure Leader, Avery, was just phenomenal. He really knows how to interact with kids and struck the perfect balance of energy and engagement. He kept the story exciting and the kids fully immersed the entire time. Every child felt included, involved, and important to the quest. The kids had an amazing time and, honestly, so did the parents! We loved getting to participate as monsters, which made the whole experience even more fun and memorable for everyone. I highly recommend Renaissance Adventures for any child who loves imaginative play, storytelling, and adventure. They made my son’s birthday truly magical!

Renaissance Adventures facilitated a birthday party at our home this past July. The theme was Star Wars Jedi Academy with the swasher swords/sabers, and Owen and Sam nailed it with the imaginary elements. Two facilitators we punctual and personable, led a total of 10 kids, and promoted a wonderful balance of fun, engagement, and safety! All the kids had a blast and my son said it was the best day ever! Highly recommend!

It was awesome! I wrote Renaissance Adventures to request information on their birthday parties... Tiffany responded quickly with the answers that I needed, and she included the data that she in turn needed from me to begin organizing this Swashbuckling Adventure. I could not be happier with the efficiency in coordination, keeping me updated with the progress, and the follow through after the party occurred. Indigo was our Quest Leader. The children fought non-stop for 1.5 hours and somehow he kept up with the kids. Indigo was so good with the them and they thoroughly enjoyed the fighting and the ideas he came up with. I do recall my child indicating that he was an Ice Dragon at one point. lol Two of the children said that they really want Renaissance Adventures for their birthdays and one adult would like them for a work event. Random adults at the park came by to say that they got a kick out of watching the kids play. I couldn't be happier. One can't do better than that! Thank you!
