My grand kids did a Wednesday art class at reach art studio they loved it!

I wasn't impressed with the instruction in Life Drawing. I didn't get any input on either how to proceed or on how to improve my work once I managed to fumble through the sketches. The room was very cold and the life model was obviously uncomfortable. We were instructed to draw the model in 12 separate timed sketches of different poses. It was pointless as I had no idea how to proceed. I left the class halfway through and won't be back.

REACH is a nonprofit arts center focused on providing equitable access to the arts for all Lansing area residents. The positive and uplifting vibe is so wonderful. And it has awesome instructors and staff that provide amazing summer and evening arts classes. My kids love it here.

This place is amazing! All the art education I wish I could have had as a kid with expert, encouraging teachers in a pleasant environment. Their level of community engagement is impressive too. Highly recommend.

Such a variety of opportunities to engage with art: clay, fiber, paint, drawing, performing! Fun for all ages.
