Rapahope runs a free, week-long summer camp in Mobile for children and teens who have been diagnosed with cancer, serving roughly 75 campers with about 100 volunteers. Camp Week activities include swimming, crafts, horseback riding and a high ropes course; the nonprofit also runs weekend camps and day trips for campers, siblings and families through the year. Founded in 1985, Rapahope is a member of the American Camp Association and the Children's Oncology Camping Association International, and all programming is free of charge.
