Where do I start, the YMCA in Prescott Arizona hands down is one of the most amazing facilities I've ever been a part of. It's not just a place where my daughter and I can go and swim and enjoy activities it's more like a family, at least it has been for us. Viviana has to be one of the most kindest Souls I've ever encountered. She has been a huge blessing to me and my daughter and I just can't give her enough credit or praise for what she does or has he been done for myself and my daughter. Stephanie in the preschool department is absolutely amazing, she has helped me through one of the most biggest challenges of my current life and has made it so easy and comfortable. Like I said it's not just a place to go and utilize the facility and do activities it really is a family. I look forward to the years to come with them and everything they're going to be doing and helping my daughter and I grow in this community. The entire staff is absolutely amazing we definitely enjoy being a part of it.
I quit this gym because it just isn't poorly managed, it isn't managed at all. Personally, the straw that broke the camel's back for me was the parking situation involving a trailer that was taking up approximately 11 parking sites on the side that no one who worked there cared about. However, I have observed many machines that haven't been fixed for months. It is also true that when you call the front desk, no one ever answers the phone. The board of directors should all be replaced or they should just close the place down!
Not once in my almost 3 years of membership has someone answered the phone at this location. It’s truly unbelievable. The pool is always closed whether it’s repair or not enough lifeguards or some kind of training so my membership fees, which were literally only for the pool, I’m paying for basically nothing and I never know if the pool is open because no one ever answers the phone so then I have to drive down there to check, pack up my child and get ready to go and then it’s closed.
This place is just filthy. Everything is dirty. Just a few things I've witnessed while working out there: -The first thing you'll notice is the carpet. They look like they've never been cleaned. -The locker rooms smell, not just B.O, and I'm pretty sure rarely get cleaned. -When you open any of the lockers the smell of uncleaned grime and filth will hit you. -Men shave and leave clippings all over the place, which rarely gets cleaned. -There are no individual showers, which just makes it uncomfortable especially when there's a history of inappropriate behavior towards the younger members. -There's a layer of sweat built up on most of the machines because no one wipes them down after they use them. -They recently had a urinal break and instead of wrapping it up they let it sit for over a week just dripping urine on to the floor and in to the drain. The smell was atrocious. -I've been going here for over a year and not a single employee has even looked at me or said hi except for the person checking IDs at the front.
