Prescott Valley Performing Arts at Main Street Theatre

My hubby and I went to see Rocky Horror in October 2025. It was amazing. This was my first time at this venue, but hubby and I will definitely be back. We were in the 2nd row with aisle sets. The stage was the perfect height - no cranked neck. It definitely has a small town feel as the venue is not that big, which we loved, and the audience had a great time singing along, yelling at the actors, and throwing toilet paper, as is typical for Rocky Horror, and it was allowed/encouraged per the director – fun! There probably is no bad seat in the house. There was a little bar at the front - we didn’t have to use the bathrooms, but people were lined up for them during intermission. The seats were super comfy – thickly padded and wider than your typical stadium seating. For instance when we go to the Toyota Center, we are crammed in, the seats are hard and uncomfortable, and your knees hit the seats in front of you – not the case here at all, and it was appreciated. The actors playing Brad and Janet were incredible both for acting and singing, and of course the whole play would go nowhere without a solid actor for Dr. Frank N Furter who was really amazing. Also a huge shout out for the narrator’s performance – loved his ad libbing with the audience who was hurling insults at him (again, typical fun for Rocky Horror). But really, I was impressed with the entire cast. Tickets were super affordable – like $30, $35? The whole experience was great, but the best part is having people singing/acting mere feet away - love it!

Went to see the production of Rocky Horror here… big mistake. I should’ve know when the tickets were only $35 that it would be the quality of an elementary drama team putting on a show at a nursing home. (You get what you pay for.) The theatre was hot and uncomfortable, rows of chairs placed gave 3 inches of leg room, there were no bathrooms available to the guests even though they were serving alcohol. (Not providing bathrooms in a theatre is illegal and against the Americans with disabilities care act) The movie was not playing in the background (not sure that theatre could afford a projector) the singing was bad, the acting was worse, the story was butchered and clown mimes were added unnecessarily leaving me wondering if maybe they had to use the costumes they all ready had instead of investing into the correct show wardrobe. Instead of introducing virgins to the show, the director stood on stage and talked about herself for 15 minutes. Do not waste your time at this theatre or on these bad actors. Example :The actor playing Brad couldn’t stop laughing and had to put a finger up letting the entire theatre know he needed a minute. Hopefully the “actors” don’t quit their day jobs. I’ve been to 30+ shows (3 productions of Rocky Horror) this was the worst show I’ve ever been to and if i had tomatoes i woulda thrown them. I think the worst part about this whole experience is that this is what the people of Prescott are used to, they don’t know any better because this is all they have and i find that sad. If you’re thinking about seeing this show, do yourself a favor and pass this “theatre” by; see it in a major city otherwise you’re just doing a disservice to yourself.

What a great place to see mostly kids theater!!! The people who put on the plays have a passion for bringing the arts to these amazing kids. We have seen a handful of plays here and they always bring smiles to our faces. We just saw Mary Poppins last night. All of the kids were so good...especially the young lady who played the title character. They also do Rocky Horror during Halloween season. We saw it once last season and will see it 3 or 4 times this year. Such fun. Great people doing great things.

So happy to have a performing arts theatre close to home. Have been driving to Prescott for years for plays etc. Immediately upon walking into the center you are greeted with a wonderful, clean scent. The lobby is visually stunning with warm ambient lighting and a great mural. They have a snack stand with reasonably priced munchies. They paired well with my more than reasonable $25 adult admission ticket. We saw the opening night of CLUE: The Musical. Let me just say...compared to other musical themed shows I've attended in the quad cities area, thank you for actually casting people that can sing for a Musical. Lol! The actors were all phenomenal and well cast. Seats were decently comfortable and wide. It is a small intimate venue. We will definitely be coming back. The production exceeded my expectations and really gave us our money's worth.

I absolutely loved being a part of Prescott Valley Performing Arts!! I just finished my first play with them and it was so much fun!! I can't wait to do another!! I've also attended a few productions they have put on... Whether on stage or in the audience it's a blast!!!
