★NancyMy daughter went here last year for cheer with a local middle school. The coaches Addie and the other one who's name I forgot, spent more time having the girls do calisthenics and berating them, while they were laughing at it, than coaching them. It did not help that the school's teacher coaches were uninvolved and hateful as well to further encourage the staff behavior. They sent girls home in tears and disheartened after practice every day and most of the team was thinking about not returning to cheer if they had to go back there for "coaching " the following year. It breaks my heart that for a sport my daughter loves, I paid to have her treated like garbage most days. I understand that coaches must get team cohesion together, but positive reinforcement goes farther than negative. Instead of taking the bad actors off the mat, they let them stay on, because they're afraid of the girl's mom(s) race based threats. We now attend a different local gym for training and it is amazing this year!
