Prairie River Camp is a place that is above and beyond expectation. From the staff, the Director and his wife to the volunteers that make this place so special. It is a true gift and one that should be cherished. They reach so many people every week whether during their youth camps or even rentals events. Knowing Pete and Sherry is to understand their mission which is lived everyday. YFC cannot have better leadership, this is the way a camp should be run. Looking forward to coming back and giving more time to these great people and place. If you get a chance to go.........grab hold.

My kids love it every year they have made friends that they look forward to seeing every year they chat online with those friend and a couple of the councilors all year leading up to camp. The camp is very pretty the cabins are temperature controlled so no worries about being to hot of cold. I can't even imagine sending them anywhere else. My adopted daughter went for the first time last year. She had never been away from me in the 18 months prior. She was a bit nervous at first. The councilors made her feel right at home. I got emailed a picture of her singing in front of the other campers. It was a huge step to her coming out of her shell. I can not Express my gratitude enough. Also they have so scholarships which helped allowed me to send my kids when i was just starting out as a single parent.
