The Port Huron Yacht Club, in partnership with Port Huron Parks & Recreation, offers a learn-to-sail program for youth ages 13 to 17. Taught by PHYC sailing instructors, the course pairs four in-classroom sessions with four on-the-water sessions covering knots, sailing terms, wind and weather, and boat handling.

Powered by GoogleAmazing! Visiting the PHYC is a MUST at least once if you live in the bluewater area. New to the area from across the country and new to a small town, I absolutely loved the community atmosphere during Boat Week, Boat night and the annual boat race this year! Wonderful time, friendly faces and an all around great time!!
Lake Huron was a bit choppy so we asked if we could stay the night. Even though they are a sail club they let us tie up 2 power boats for the night. They were friendly, let us use the large grill, clean facilities and fun bar. Walking distance to the little Main Street which has an ice cream shop and cold pressed juice bar. With it being a sail club they only have 30 amp plugs so be sure you have a splitter if you have a 50 amp.
