Porcher's Rock Creek Stables
Private
Horseback riding day camp at a working boarding and lesson stable outside Quincy. Campers learn grooming, saddling, bathing, tack and horse anatomy, feeding and nutrition, and take on real barn chores alongside riding time, games, scavenger hunts and mini arena and outdoor competitions — the stable frames it as the depth of experience a once-a-week lesson cannot provide. Full-day camp runs 9 a.m.–3 p.m. The facility also offers riding lessons, horse boarding and training, birthday parties, seasonal trail rides and a separate adult horse camp.

Powered by GoogleMy daughter has been riding at Porchers for six years. She has grown in so many ways there- not only with horseback riding, but also as a person. Shay has helped her gain confidence in all areas of her life. She has learned so much as a rider, but has also learned how to care for horses which is invaluable. She has been doing chores since second grade and knows the work and heart that go into caring for horses because of what Shay has taught her. She has been going to shows for several years with Shay, along with summer camps, trialing riding, and going camping with horses. These experiences are something I could never give her and I am so grateful that Shay is giving these opportunities to her students! Shay always communicates with me about lessons, how things are going, and what we need to do next. My daughter looks up to her and looks to her for advice with her horse and riding. Highly recommend!
