My daughter is fairly new to this program. She started the after school program in September of 2016. I had an issue then which was addressed after I threatened to make a report against them for being thieves and unprofessional and I have a current issue with the summer camp program. My daughter is in the fifth grade (rising 6th grader) in the camp and she went on a trip last week (Wednesday 7/26/2017) to St. Mary's park where she had fallen twice between 10-11am. She was scraped very badly and no report was made nor was I contacted about the incidents. When she arrived home at 6pm she was crying and in pain and the scrapes still had dirt on them covered with three small band-aids. I was furious because I should have received a curtsy call at least. I went the following morning to get a copy of the reports stating she had two accidents at two different times but no one knew of the incidents. The director was puzzled, as I was and so we're two the staffs that should have known as well. I waited a while (30 mins for a report that should have been made the day of incident and took photos of it. Only to notice that it was not my child's report. Her last name was incorrect, the date, people involved, and description of what had happened were all incorrect. I explain that it was unacceptable and demanded an explanation but have yet to receive an apology or call for that matter. I walk in to get my child and the director, and both staffs just have no words for me and it's uncomfortable and unacceptable because the children's safety matters more to me than a job pretending they matter more. I will take matters into my own hands if I have to because my daughter suffered infections to her wounds because of their neglect.

My daughter has been apart of this organization for 5 years now. She attends the afterschool as well as the summer camp. The staff are friendly and always interacting with the kids especially the assistant director Ms. Berry. She knows all the kids on first name basis. She’s always available, open office hours if needed to be contact. She’s always having parent meetings to keep us inform of any changes or if activities are happening etc. But to hear such bad news that she’s being transferred to another location is heartbreaking. These kids especially my child has a bond with her. Kids don’t do well with constant change. This facility has been, this past year alone, gone through a lot of changes. And the last thing they need is to lose such an amazing person. I will start my petition today with hopes she does not get transferred.

I used to go to this place at banana Kelly high school as a freshmen in 2003 to 2004 it's bring so many memories. I made friends there, the teacher and staff was wonderful. I really miss this building. We do field trip, semester and we get to do art. This place has very small class and this school is wonderful. Thank you p.a.l for the wonderful memories and journey. ☺
