To be fair, I haven't been here in 45+ years. I was there when Mt. St. Helens had its second big eruption, in June. We were hiking down a ridge, coming back from the summit of the big hill on the right on the way in (obviously, I don't remember the name). I still have ash we gathered from the (then) new slab for the lodge expansion. My grandparents lived above the camp, across the creek and up the hill. My brother & I attended camp a few years whilst visiting them. I remember the old sawmill, walking the creek and pushing over dead trees (not to mention the old mine, hiking & riding the old logging roads, picking huckleberries, etc...). The sawmill was just a shed with a basic circular saw (if you call a 48+-inch circular saw blade "basic"). I kinda wish I could take possession of their place. This is such a beautiful area of the world.

Very accommodating staff during Middle School Camp 2018. My husband and I stayed on camp grounds in our fifth-wheel trailer. They offer hookups and a sewage dumping station. Many activities to keep entertained including ga-ga ball, swimming, archery, hiking to the cross, nine square, fire-pit with amphitheater style seating, board games, wi-if in the welcome center, etc. Amazing and scenic views that makes you feel apart of nature. P.S. I love the drive out of camp because as you approach the main road there is a view of Mount Rainer!

I went here when I was a kid for 5 years in a row. Some of my fondest memories as a child were here and I’m so happy to see it’s still in service. God is in this place and it will stick with your kids for a lifetime. 34 years later and I still think back to my time here. Thank you!
