Playhouse Merced is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community theater serving the Central Valley since 1994. Its Youth Conservatory offers after-school instruction in theater, voice, and dance plus summer theater camps and workshops for children ages 5-18, including production camps (such as Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids) and shorter skills workshops in acting, a cappella, playwriting, and stage makeup.

★★ImeldaThis place is not like it was customer service and communication appear to have declined, and there is a growing concern that people are treated differently based on appearance or perceived financial status. A community establishment should welcome and respect everyone equally. It may be time for leadership that values professionalism, fairness, and genuine community connection. This place needs definitely new leadership it’s so sad and it has declined drastically.

★★★★★Manuel CThe Playhouse Merced is a cute little theater that hosts a wide variety of plays. The cast and crew always pull out all the stops to put on a great show. In spite of the small venue (it's cozy!) the shows are always well done, interesting, and entertaining. Prices are quite reasonable too, making it easy to treat yourself and family to a night out. Check out their website for the season schedule and purchase tickets online ahead of time for best seat selection (assigned seating pretty much all the time).
