This is my daughter’s first away camp, and I couldn’t be happier that she chose Pine Cove! Beautiful camp, counselors are fun and energetic, and worshipping Jesus around people her own age has been a huge blessing for her. Also, as a parent, I love receiving updates and pictures in the app. Thank you, Pine Cove!

I've never attended the summer camp here, although the reviews do make me highly interested! My youth group uses this facility for our retreat during the fall. This is the PERFECT location!! ✨️ So many activities and BEAUTIFUL scenery. The rooms feel oppen but cozy, the dining hall has a wonderfully view of the lake and lots of natural light, and the (idk what it's called so I'll refer to it as the worship hall) is huge and creates a great atmosphere for the music. And for the brave ones, I highly recommend the giant swing hidden behind the dining hall under the covering. 👀 [EDIT: found out they changed it BIG time... I'm really disappointed.😔 It had always been the highlight of the trip...] This place holds so many of my fondest memories. Although I may not be able to give feedback on the camp itself, I can 100% vouch for the venue. You're sure to love it! ❤️

The first thing my daughter wrote in her camp letter to me was "Best camp ever!!! We get to dance on chairs during mealtimes!" She has been to a few overnight camps plus Pine Cove day camp. She said she loved this camp more than she thought she would and that the food was so good. When you are in line entering the camp, kids are hanging outside the vehicles, shooting counselors (college age students) with water guns and silly string. They definitely give off a lot of energy from the start. Once you park, the counselors take your trunk and tell you which room you are in so you can start making your bed (you keep your linens with you). Then they go take their swim test and if you have meds, check in there. The facilities feel brand new. I don't know if they are or are just renovated. There were 5 bunk beds in her room (1 counselor and up to 9 campers). I downloaded the CampLife app and was able to write 2 letters to my camper and she was able to write 2 letters back (they scan and upload them). You can also see pictures from the previous day there as well as add money to their camp account foe the camp store. Which is maybe a little pricey but I know they do good things with any money they make. For instance, ice cream is $4.5, soda is $1.25 and stickers are around $3.40. I had ordered 2 care kits and a shirt and hat online beforehand and they were delivered throughout the week. You can also choose to send care kits and letters instead but I just decided to make it easy on myself. At the end when you pick them up, all their stuff is in the parking lot, waiting to be loaded by counselors into your trunk. Then you go in for the closing ceremony which lasts for about 30 minutes (plan to spend an hour during pickup). The ceremony brought tears to my eyes seeing the love for Jesus in such an energetic display. After, you break into your cabin groups and the counselors call campers one at a time and describe 3 character traits they saw in your camper that week and they give them a little card with the traits on it to take home. Her counselor also sent a picture and short note to myself and my husband once throughout the week. Super sweet!

There’s no better camp than Pine Cove! As soon as you can, send your kids here! The memories they create and the stories they bring home will be so encouraging to you as a parent. They will have an amazing time with staff who absolutely love what they do as well as each camper. My three children have been attending since they were able and each has had life-changing experiences that have brought them closer to God. Not only are the counselors trained to keep the camper safe, they make sure they have a great time! They are watching out for their safety while they are encouraging the kids to be super active and enjoy everything the camp has to offer. Pine Cove has become a tradition in our family and we cannot wait for each summer!
