★Kris KillingerCatholics beware. All the positive reviews are true. Our kids went to Pine Cove camps for several years, and we loved it for all the same reasons the 5-star reviewers give. But one year the counselor planted numerous doubts in my child's mind about all the standard issues some people (not all) have with our faith: the Pope, Mary, males in the priesthood, reconciliation, and all the rest. They were obviously having debates about the intricacies of theology rather than focusing on the common bond all Christians have: a love for Jesus Christ our Lord. A lot of damage was done in one week, I'll tell you that. So think long and hard if you're Catholic and you're worried about getting a counselor like this. Kids are impressionable, especially by these amazing, energetic counselors (who seem much smarter than mere parents). Might just want to find yourself a Catholic camp instead. I know I would if I had it to do over again.
