★★★★Elijah AndrewsMy troop was at Camp RCM for the last week of summer camp. The camp is small, with most activities being within 0.25mi of each other. Some outlying campsites are farther. My troop was at site 15, which has 3 modified Adirondack lean-tos (each holding 6 people) and a cabin for leaders. The Adirondacks have two bunk beds and two bed frames, all made from wood. They have a wall along the front made from planks and insect screens. I enjoyed most of my classes. Some of the teachers were not thorough. However, Reed and Luke were very comprehensive when teaching Small Boat Sailing and Citizenship in the World. They made the classes very fun and informative. The meals were not great. The quality fluctuated but was mostly average. They were filling, but just barely. This may possibly be to incentivize purchases at the trading post. I appreciated the use of non-disposable plates and silverware. Each day there was one hour of free time where activities were held. This makes it difficult to do multiple activities in a single free time.

Summer camps are amazing and I was even privileged to work on staff this year and it was an amazing experience I will treasure forever! Working with scouts is a heart filling opportunity and the young kids that come in ready to learn and become amazing young citizens are found to be our future. I cannot wait to see what the next 10 years brings as my youngest son attends camps over the years!!

The Camp, since Lincoln Heritage Council took over, has seen some major improvements with more in the works. The Camp also has a week long program known as Aqua Base for inland waterway sailing. Always have enjoyed coming here either for Summer Camp or a Troop outing.
