We had the pleasure of attending Pensacola Little Theatre’s production of The Sugar Witch, the sequel to The Sugar Bean Sisters by Nathan Sanders—and it was outstanding. For those unfamiliar, the story continues the quirky, Southern Gothic charm of the original, blending humor, family dynamics, and a touch of the supernatural as it follows the sisters navigating new challenges and long-standing dreams. It’s engaging, character-driven, and full of personality without giving too much away. The performance itself was terrific. This was a sold-out show in the smaller theatre (around 120 seats), and you could feel the energy in the room. The cast was spot-on—each performer perfectly suited to their role, bringing both heart and humor to the stage. Seating is general admission with no assigned seats, but even in a full house, the experience felt intimate and immersive. A fantastic two-act production all around—highly recommended for anyone who enjoys live theatre done right.

We had a wonderful time seeing “It’s A Wonderful Life” at PLT. The play was performed as a 1940’s radio show, a fun and clever twist of the Christmas movie. The acting and singing was really great. As recent transplants to the area, it was our first time here. Our seats were good, even up in Row R on the side, we could see and hear everything clearly. Great job everyone, we loved it.

I’ve volunteered and seen many shows at Emerald Coast Theatre Company in Destin, so I was really excited to learn about PLT. First time experience, I had no idea how much bigger it was over ECTC! Like whoa! I’m already planning out where I’m going to sit next time I visit. The sound was clear and vibrant. The show was amazing! No one missed a line, the cast brought everything “to the round table” and left no scraps… as the kids say, “They ate.” …Indeed… New favorite place in Pensacola.

Had a marvelous night at the PLT last night! It started as I was greeted by Micheal in the Box Office. He was so helpful with my ticketing issue and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the building. He was such a delight! Then I had the pleasure of seeing the fabulous Pensacola Ballet do their thing in the production of Don Quixote. The show was stunning! Do not miss!

This was a fun experience. We saw Snow White and the Prince and very much enjoyed the cozy family atmosphere of the Little Theater. The show performers included a broad range of ages and they all did a great job! The costumes were quite well done.
