Outcry Theatre is a Plano nonprofit youth theatre (funded in part by the City of Plano and arts commissions) whose summer camps serve ages 5-22 for both newcomers and experienced performers. Offerings include week-long summer classes and rehearsed productions staged in professional venues around Plano, Addison and the Dallas area.

Jason and Becca both are very talented, passionate professionals and they put on fantastic shows, pushing kids to the next level. This is not your typical youth theatre! They do not skimp on choreography, music direction, acting skills, or production values. My kid was often pushed right up to her limit, but she loved it because she knew the show she was participating in would be special. I stage managed for both Jason and Becca and have seen how they work. Jason is fantastic with the younger kids, maintaining a sense of humor while also challenging them with complex choreo, blocking, and acting. Becca is absolutely born to direct and instills a vision into her work that the kids feed on. Her work attracts very talented kids from across the Metroplex and every show is something they can be proud to be a part of.

★★★★★Jamie IllianMy 8 year old is brand new to theater and WOW did we hit the jackpot finding Outcry. Every facet of the Annie Jr. production, from audition to closing night, was highly organized and well communicated - which was especially helpful for us newbs. Mr. J is a phenomenal director and it’s apparent how much he cares for his students. He speaks to them as peers and expects self sufficiency when it comes to learning lines, managing props, costumes, ect. This really fosters a sense of responsibility in the young actors, which I got to witness firsthand while volunteering backstage. They have an unofficial big/little program designed to help new actors learn the ropes from seasoned students. My kiddo gained a special friendship and a lot of knowledge from her “big.” I never l expected that a 2 week camp would yield such advanced acting and production value. The show was highly entertaining and even captivated our little 4 and 5 year old friends. My daughter had a blast from start to finish and learned so much along the way. 🤩
