Opus School of the Arts (formerly Opus School of Music) opened in Ridgefield in 2006 and teaches music, and more recently dance, theater and visual arts, to students from about age 2 upward. Its summer camps run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily for a week at a time and include Crash, Boom, Stomp (music, movement and art staged as a show), Opus on Broadway (singing, dancing, acting, pit-band playing, set painting and costume design) and Comic Creations, where students compose film-style music and build a comic story.
