Operation Shoestring is a Jackson nonprofit (founded 1968) whose free Project Rise summer camp serves about 125 central-Jackson children from Pre-K through 7th grade. Days focus on health and wellness alongside literacy, STEM, arts and culture, gardening, nutrition and physical fitness.
