Opelika Parks & Recreation runs the city's summer day camp out of the Opelika Sportsplex & Aquatics Center, operating 8:00am–3:00pm with extended care available until 5:30pm. Daily activities include arts and crafts, dodgeball, kickball, swimming and periodic off-campus field trips. It is a municipal recreation program.
