this is my second time being a part of one source Christmas toy drive and each time has been amazing. The staff is friendly , no long wait times you are in and out and they make you feel like family instantly I wish I was closer to use all of the programs that this center offers.

My 3 kids enjoyed themselves at Summer camp and we signed them up for Afterschool. They enjoyed Robotics, STEM activities & the field trips! When we picked our kids up, they are worn out. Staff are sweet & caring. Thank you all for the work you do!!! We also appreciate the large food boxes you gave us, filled with alot of meats and canned goods!!!

First off, I will note that their summer program (Camp Velocity) was recommended by an organization that I am a part off. I was told there would be slots set aside so we would not have to pay, so that sounded good to me. My two granddaughters (9 & 10) attended camp beginning July 1, as they had attended Dekalb County schools summer programs in June, which are well run and the girls enjoy. Let me say that this program is very unorganized and there are no structured activities, basically the kids watch Youtube videos and movies in the "tv room". My two girls said they had no arts & crafts except one day. There were two field trips while they were there, but notification is given (and permission slip signed) the day before or on the same morning. The Fernbank museum field trip was cancelled due to transportation issues, so the next day, they went to Stars & Strikes instead. One day, the girls said they had no eating utensils, and they had to eat with their hands. They said they had burritos, corn, and peas, and had to pick the corn and peas up with their hands. Lunches and breakfasts are always the same, so the girls would take their own lunches. You will not be introduced to any of the folks working there, so I only learned names through my granddaughters. Additionally, you will be sent an email to install an app that would allow you to check your child in and out daily, and also to view the daily meal and activity schedule. This app was never updated so it was useless to install. My granddaughters absolutely hated attending this "camp", unlike their previous camps where they had multiple activities, including dance, arts & crafts, cooking classes, music, computer time, academics, and field trips. The girls said this camp had only 4 or 5 working computers and they did not have an opportunity to get on them. My final straw was when my oldest granddaughter (who is autistic), had her eyeglasses broken by another girl at this camp and neither of the present "camp leaders" could tell me what happened to this child's eyeglasses that she wears everyday. I learned about what happened from some of the other kids. So neither leader saw this girl snatch off her glasses or saw her try to get her glasses back? Shameful. And did they say they would speak to the child's parent or even apologize for this incident? No they did not. Basically stood there saying nothing, except to tell the little girl to go sit out in the lobby area.. And this is a Friday afternoon, so I then have to scramble to contact her eye doctor to get replacement glasses, which we are waiting on. I do not recommend this place at all for the summer camp. Since it was mid-July, I did not want to start them in another program, and this one was free. They allegedly have other programs, like GED prep and afterschool care, and I have no clue how they manage that when the summer camp is so unorganized. The only plus would be the food pantry they have, as I received a plentiful amount.

ONLY IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 STARS DUE TO POOR MANAGEMENT! When I first found this place; I was extremely skeptical but, ended up loving it because my kid loved it. Besides the kids obviously being kids, they’re extremely unorganized. The owner has poor communication skills and definitely needs to more training on her peoples skills. I wouldn’t recommend this program to anyone unless you like the inconveniences, unorganized behaviors, poor everything at this point. If people are going to open up programs for kids they should make sure they are for the family but most importantly for all children. Hope down the line this place improves and train for better workers
