Powered by GoogleI have mixed feeling about this place because my toddler really enjoys the Mighty Movers play time once a week. And I enjoy that she gets to run around and burn some energy. However, it is VERY consistently dirty in the gym and the lobby as well. I’m talking used dirty socks, yucky bandaids, hair ties, bugs, and dust bunnies on the gym floor. There was also no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands. I don’t like to complain because it is only $7 for an hour of play, but I feel that cleanliness is important and it is very clearly not on the priority list here. I know germ are everywhere and unavoidable however it is downright gross watching my child play next to used bandaids on the floor.
We’ve had such a great experience at Olympia Hills. There have been a lot of positive changes lately and you can really feel the difference. Everything feels more organized and welcoming. The new rec director has been very helpful and easy to talk to, and you can tell they really care about the kids and families. Coach Brianna is awesome and brings so much energy to every class. The kids love her. Coach Fisher’s ninja class is also a big favorite in our house. He does a new theme each week which keeps it fun and exciting, and my son looks forward to it every time. He always comes home happy and proud of what he learned.
I love this gymnastics facility!!! I am high maintenance and tend to need to reschedule my daughter often so I'm always calling and talking with April who is just the best. She is always kind, understanding and super patient with me and all my needs. She is very good at her job and makes everything so easy. I love her and hope she never leaves!!!!! Thanks April!
EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT This gym has taken a serious decline in the last 7 months. The turnover rate for coaches is extremely high. The communication from the gym is nonexistent, even if there is a serious problem. We have been in Junior Olympics training for the last 3 years, and the training schedule has changed 4 times in the last 4 months, and the indication is that the owner does not wish to continue this program. There are over 20 JO athletes, some of them having gone here for over 10 years. The athletes are leaving even faster than the coaches, finding other options in the area if possible. I have made decisions about my life based on this gym and with all of these changes, I have not heard one time from the owner. I have pulled my daughter from training here, though I do not have any good option and I feel that she will lose all of the amazing skills that she was taught here over the years, before they lost their staff. I do not recommend this gym for your child, if you are interested in learning gymnastics. If you just want an after-school daycare, I suppose it's decent. This is my original review: Olympia Hills is a great place! My daughter has been going here for a little over a year, and we all love it. The instruction is so good and she has made so much progress in her skill set. They offer XCEL, and JO gymnastics programs, and Cheer, so no matter what your goals are for your little one, OHG can take over and you can watch your kids improve. Safety is always the priority, and the coaching staff make sure everyone stays safe! Whether it's little tumblers or advanced cheer or gymnastics. The staff is also focused on cleaning. There are usually multiple staff members tidying up and disinfecting the gym. They offer an aftercare program as well ( after school pickup available from many local schools) and day camps for non school days. Camp days are always a big hit with my kiddos! Highly recommend!
A year ago my daughter started at this gym and now she just competed on the level 2 team. I have to say the progress she’s made in just a few months is very impressive. The coaches really care that each of their gymnasts reaches their full potential. The coaches are amazing! Safety is always their number one priority. The office staff is always very helpful. I would definitely recommend Olympia hills to my friends and family!
