Ohio Wilderness Boys Camp
Private
Ohio Wilderness Boys Camp is a residential therapeutic wilderness program for boys ages 9-15 who need more intensive care than home and school can provide. Boys live outdoors in small groups on over 600 acres of upper Ohio River valley wilderness, learning through natural consequences and mentoring rather than a traditional recreational summer schedule. Enrollment is limited to about forty boys. It is a licensed private, nonprofit therapeutic camp, not an open-enrollment summer camp.

Powered by GoogleI was at OWBC Back In 2015 when I was 9 this place really changed me for the better I made so many memories just being there & meeting so many genuine good people I remember the Chiefs would take us fishing & We would Jump off The bridge & rope swings to go swimming I remember the winter time we would go Ice swimming and then hurry up and get in a sauna when we were done no matter what we did by the end of the night it was always a good day I remember specifically Chief Todd & Chief Benji were my chiefs back then I'm not sure if they are still there nowadays I still sit back & reminisce about those days. Thank you for making my childhood a good experience even when I was dealing with extreme trauma.
Dear friends operate this place for troubled boys. It is beautifully situated in the woods. They have a heart to help others and do a good job of it.
I am a past camper and the place was a very hard place to live at but its fun at the same time I use to be a very bad person but this camper changed me if you have a bad kid this is the place for them
This has been amazing for my son. The staff are awesome they help in every way including helping us with gas to get there once. They have helped build my son up as before he felt unloved and low self esteem. They go by the child's goals and gives structure for future living. This program has given a chance for a new beginning as a family. I highly recommend if your family needs mended back together. I thank all the staff members for what they do.
My son has been here almost 4 months and the change is beyond amazing before I found this place I had tried everything and lost all hope. I love the people that work here without them our family had no chance. Thanks OWBC and all its staff especially the chiefs of the woodsmen group!!! Love y'all.
