Very disappointing experience. Paid full fees up front and my child showed up to all practices and Tournaments and was maybe given 10 total minutes of play time across 20 or so games. Instead the “ coach” randomly recruited different players throughout the season and allowed them to come in and start and play full games without trying out or paying or practicing while his actual team on the roster mostly sat on the bench It was very unfortunate unpleasant experience. Very hands off uninvolved coaching to players , minimal skill development or advice/ would basically watch the games. Definitely don’t recommend this club unfortunately ***** update : when I finally emailed the AAU director about the coach and how disappointed we had been, immediately things turned around ( the coach we had issues with ) was no longer going to coach but Instead the director showed up to the Tournamrnt and took over and the kids had a wonderful game and all got equal and fair play time and they won and the morale was much improved , very impressed with the immediate response to the issues myself and other parents were upset about

The coach Bill Baumel was incompetent. Was unable to teach or get players to work together. He embarrassed the team by signing them up for tournaments before they were ready and then quit after a month.

Cannot give a zero or I would. I cannot speak on the walk in classes, but the leagues are the reason for 1 star status. We registered for a 3 on 3 summer league that required us to purchase uniforms. 2 days before the start of the league, we were notified that the league did not have enough interest to proceed. Our registration fee was refunded but we were left with uniforms that we could not use. This winter, we decided on a second chance. Mistake. My son tried out for an AAU team. I sent an email to see how they would communicate and was told a call if my son made the team, an email if he did not. A month later, with no communication as to his roster status, I checked the website and found all teams had been formed. Contacted Ohio Sports Plus via Facebook and was told the same. Horrible way to run a league.
