Ocean Tumblers Gymnastics School runs half-day summer training camps at its Chesapeake gym, mixing gymnastics skill work with arts, crafts and daily activities. Separate weekly sessions serve Tots (ages 3-5) and Gymnastics Summer Training (ages 6 and up), and the Chesapeake location also offers cheerleading training (tumbling, jumps, dance and stunting, ending with a routine) and Dragon Ninja training. All sessions run 9:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday on an open-enrollment basis, bookable by the week or by the day, from early July through mid-August. Campers must be potty-trained and bring their own water and snack.

Powered by GoogleThe program itself is great. My daughter enjoyed her classes, made friends, and loved participating. The Kids Night Out events are also fantastic. Unfortunately, the customer service is some of the worst I have experienced as a paying customer. Over the course of several months, I repeatedly tried to get information about my daughter's progress and advancement. Each time, I was treated as though I was inconveniencing the front desk staff simply by asking a question. I was repeatedly told a teacher would speak with me or call me, and it never happened. What bothered me most was the attitude. I was always polite, patient, and respectful, yet every interaction felt dismissive, abrasive, and unhelpful. Instead of feeling valued as a customer, I felt like a nuisance. As a General Manager of a customer-facing business, I would be appalled if my staff treated members this way. Reading through other reviews, it appears I am far from the only parent who has had this experience. It's disappointing because the coaches and program deserve praise, but the front desk customer service ultimately drove us to leave.
The staff here is very good to my daughter and outgoing and she loves kids night here.
This establishment delivers some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The front desk staff were dismissive and unhelpful, and when the manager became involved, the situation only deteriorated further. Their complete lack of empathy, unwillingness to listen, and refusal to accommodate even basic needs make it clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. I strongly recommend avoiding this business if you expect to be treated with respect and empathy. Ocean Tumblers Chesapeak.

The place is fine enough but when they close, they still charge you full price for the month. They closed for a week in August then they are closing for Labor Day and I still have to pay full price? So they are missing 20% of their classes for two months and you are still getting 100% tuition? Make it make sense. Place Seems very money hungry. The instructors don’t really provide much instruction and you have to pay to be involved in the “skills show/recital”. I have never heard of anything like that. It should be included with tuition, especially if tuition is $90 a month. Wish there were more options around here but it is what it is. My kids like it.
