I registered my teen for NXT Lacrosse’s 3-day camp, which ran 1.5 hours per day (totaling 4.5 hours) at a cost of about $260. The camp itself was well-structured in terms of having coaches present (seemed to be a mix of local high school teachers and professionals) and around 20–25 teens of mixed gender participated. My teen enjoyed the experience overall. That said, the communication leading up to the camp was disappointing. After registering months in advance, I only received the initial receipt and then no additional details until 1–2 days before the camp. Phone calls to the local office led to voicemail with time limits, and multiple emails to their general mailbox went unanswered. Fortunately, one of the part-time coaches kindly reached out the week before to clarify details. For the price (roughly $58/hour), I expected clearer communication, quicker responses, and an outline of what the kids would be learning. The camp delivered some value on the field, but the lack of responsiveness and organization beforehand made the experience less smooth than it could have been

Beware of the events operations manager rudy Gabriel. I started doing events with this company with my food truck and he invited me to a lacrosse tournament in bryn mawr. He told me the first game started at 815 and when I arrived it was the wrong address and when I found the field nobody showed up until 9am first game started after 10. The peaple who managed the field kicked me out even though I was invited by nxt sports. I was told to move my set-up in the parking area where nobody will buy from me. This company cannot be recommended for a food truck to help with events. I had nobody there to vouch for me. I asked for a setup fee since I had to unload and setup but Gabriel could only apologize and tell me to cook off-site and try to sell on the field. In the future my minimum to setup is $750 but I will not be doing anything with next sports.

My son has been with NXT on and off for a few years. I admire the coaching staff and appreciate how they make the boys take responsibility for their own game. The times that they have given my son some “tough love” have been beneficial to his growth as an athlete. In a world where everyone “gets a trophy”, this club is a breath of fresh air. They emphasize a hard work ethic and teamwork. Skills which will last well past his lax career.
