The Northeast Youth Center is a nonprofit, state-licensed Spokane childcare provider that runs a summer day camp for children ages 3 to 12 across about 10 weeks. Its Adventure Camps offer daily arts, music and sports plus weekly off-site field trips, with a separate preschool-age track led by a licensed teacher; USDA-approved breakfast, lunch and snacks and transportation are provided. The director, and teachers were always there when ever I needed help or had any questions. My son is being adopted and is younger then his next older sister by 13 years, so he is quite different from my other 3 children. We found out while he was going to the ECAP program that he had ADHD and we all had a hard time figuring it all out. All the staff was there helping me and my family navigate through this new reality we were facing, and I new I could go to them with any questions, and I knew I would get an honest answer like talking to family and friends. Now that my son has graduated to kindergarten the NEYC ECAP program family we made is going to be missed, but I am one of the lucky ones I work really close and can see them when I want to go say hi to my friends.
