Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association (NELSA), a nonprofit serving over 1,000 youth soccer players ages 3–18 in the Monroe area, runs multi-day summer soccer camps (including goalkeeper training) for ages 4–13. Sessions are short — a morning camp (8:30–11:15am at Forsythe Park) and an evening camp (4:30–7:15pm at NELSA) — for about $90.

In the park areas there are several aygrounds, gazebos, etc., with lots of shade. There's also an amazing museum on the property...first turn to the right when you enter.
