★anonymousI danced here for 11 years. Barbara ellen was the only reason I even stayed that long. The other teachers were just simply mean and showed blatant favoritism. I would cry nearly weekly after dance, which in my opinion, is not the experience you should want for your daughters in an extracurricular. I even started having panic attacks due to teachers (grown women), yelling at me in front of my friends, and older girls that I looked up to. I made great friends and memories, but the scars left by some of your untrained teachers, yelling and berating children in front of their peers, are unfortunately still with me. I saw them treat many of my peers with a lot of affection and respect, but me and some others did not get this same treatment. Again, I made great friends and memories, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I developed some REALLY tough skin. But I shouldn’t have had to, not in this way. Moral of the story, if you decide to bring your kid here, please keep an eye out for these things and listen to them.

As modesty has become almost non-existant among the dance world, NADC takes pride in their values and makes sure the girls are dancing and dressing appropriately. After attending a recent dance competition, I was appauled at the type of dancing and attire of ALL the other studios we were exposed to. I am proud to say that my daughter dances at a studio that has her best interest at heart.
