The NMC Children's Choir is a choral program of Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, founded in 1990 by Mark and Barbara Puchala and now made up of six choirs with more than two hundred singers from kindergarten through ninth grade across the greater Grand Traverse area. Singers are placed in an ensemble by age and experience level, and participation is a full-school-year commitment including choral performances rather than a summer camp; students in grades K-3 may join in January. Auditions, a verse of 'America the Beautiful' plus simple vocal exercises, are required only for new students entering grades 3-9.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact NMC Children's Choir directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.
