The New River Robotics Association is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Blacksburg that runs FIRST robotics teams, tournaments and summer camps for K-12 youth in the New River Valley, working out of a shop at the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Its summer camps are split by age: a June week of FLL Explore (ages 5-7) and FLL Challenge (ages 8-10) that pairs half-day robotics with half-day yoga in a combined full-day camp run with In Balance Yoga, and a July Panda Pals FIRST Tech Challenge robotics program for ages 11-15. The organisation is run by local employees, parents and students who volunteer their time, and also organises FLL, FTC and FRC tournaments across Montgomery County.
