The Nevada Parks and Recreation Department in Nevada, Iowa, offers youth basketball for boys and girls in grades 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6 at the Field House courts, plus Little Tykes Basketball for ages 4 to 6 in January 2027. Youth volleyball for grades 3-4 and 5-6 meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Field House courts, with a volleyball clinic for grades 1-2 in October. DASH TYKES flag football and sports sampler classes for ages 2 to 3 and 4 to 6 meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Burke Turf in October and November. The department also operates and maintains the Nevada Field House, the SCORE Recreation/Athletic Complex, the Fawcett Family Aquatic Center and city parks.
