Good Sunday morning, let me tell you a little story about Neuse River Futbol Alliance My son has been playing with them since he was this old. He has a great attitude, is a solid player, fast as all get out and one of the best on his mid level team he's played with for years. So this past week they had tryouts, which frankly kids who have been on the team for years really shouldn't have to do or pay for but I digress. My son was sick and we had to leave 5 min into the first day of tryouts. The second day he still didn't feel well, but I made him go because they had to. He was not at his best, but I was there and they hardly looked in his direction anyway. With 65 kids on multiple fields you can understand how they don't actually see much of each kid to begin with. Just another reason not to have mass tryouts requiring kids who play for your league and coaches know to come. Well the 2 coaches doing the draft, who clearly know nothing about my son, just decided it was a good idea to "invite" him to play on the lower level team. No they didn't ask any of the numerous coaches he's played for, cause if so we wouldn't be here. His old coach Marcus who we love and has sadly left the league for good reasons and his spring coach hardly ever took him off the field because he saw the talent, defensive skills and speed which allowed him to cover lots of ground. They might have been a good source of info for you, but no you just decided to drop him down a level! 😤 Now for the last several years they've been a hot mess of mismanagement, untruths, and piss poor communication etc, but I tolerated that because my kids loved his teammates and they are the convenient, local monopoly. Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to get off work and get anywhere further away for practice. I can handle your mess, but you don't do this to a kid, def not mine without reaping what you sow so feel free to share this review! Waylon deserved the spot he's had for years that we pay a lot of money for and can't even get a single practice on a full field for. So I'll work it out and we'll find a place elsewhere but I challenge any other experienced coach/coaches to start your own competitive league near here. I'll even help you start and manage it if you'd like. Lots of folks are not happy with them. Give us locals a better alternative.

Local football (soccer) club in Clayton, NC. Great facility, just off Glen Laurel Rd, in East Clayton Community Park. New all weather turf fields that don’t hold heat in the summer.

I have two kids playing soccer with Neuse River for over 5 years. Love the community feel of the league. Excellent coaching staff and leadership! Highly recommend for those in the Johnston and Wake County area.

Terrible ethics from this club. Beware if you play them your team WILL be injured. 4 yellow cards and 1 red card during this game. I’ve never seen such poor sportsmanship.
