My 15 yr. old daughter has enjoyed this camp for years! It's great how they detach from electronics for all the fun. We have watched it grow, and she loves to play in the creek and build new friendships. She also has enjoyed some of the fun challenges like the buildup crate activity. The biggest draw for her when she became older was the eclipse camp. Sleeping in and then discovering camp late night. Fun has been happening for years.

After attending 9 retreats at NaCoMe in under 3 years, I'm truly saddened to say I can no longer recommend it. With a new board president and director, the warm, family feel is gone. Retreat 7: we went home with bedbugs. Retreat 8: they had to cancel our retreat on the Monday before, leaving us 4 days to find a new space for 40+ people. Still, we had such a good experience with the prior directors, we booked with them again. We spoke with Anna about specific dates and spaces, had contracts drawn up and sent above and beyond the deposit she asked for. They cashed the check. I had to sign the contract by April 20, Easter day. The next day, Monday, another group called in and she gave our meeting space to them. It would have been great to receive a quick call or email, saying hey, double checking, you still need that space, right? Nope, just an email saying, you missed the date, we gave your space away. We already sold the tickets for the retreats! Yet again, Nacome leaves us scrambling to find another space with the same availability. I reached out to the board president a week ago, no response. I will definitely miss Nacome!

My daughter and I went every year for many years with our church. She and her family are continuing our tradition with her two young children. A part of my heart is there; it’s such a beautiful place. And it breaks my heart that I can’t go anymore. The camp directors will do whatever they can to accommodate most requests or needs. The cabins are wonderful and big! You won’t be “camping” as much as “glamping”. Enjoy your stay!
