Musical Folk offers the Music Together program in Cheshire, CT and the greater New Haven area, with mixed-age music-and-movement classes (birth to age 5), Rhythm Kids classes (ages 4-8) and ukulele lessons (ages 6 and up). Its summer sessions are weekly classes rather than a day camp.

★★★★★Kayla MagliulaWe started this class together last week and are loving it so far! My daughter is 8 months old and not crawling yet but the teacher makes a point to engage with her throughout class. Most of the music is original and written specifically to interest and educate young minds. The few songs that are not original are sourced from all different genres including world music. A booklet of all the songs as well as a CD are included with tuition each semester and the tuition is really reasonable. A variety of percussion instruments are used throughout (as well some other small props like scarves) all of which are provided. Plenty of available classes spread over several locations throughout the week make it convenient for most schedules. Make up classes are also an option if you need to miss your regularly scheduled class. Everyone in the class is friendly (parents and students) creating a warm, welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere. If you want to get your little one(s) interested in music, are looking for an activity that is fun for both parent and child which facilitates bonding, and/or seeking affordable opportunities for social exposure this class is a phenomenal option and I very highly recommend!
