Powered by GoogleHonestly one of the best places to learn an instrument. The teachers are super talented and actually make it fun—they don’t just show you how to play, they teach you how to read music too. I’d recommend it to anyone, no matter your age or experience.
after going through all the trouble of filling out availability and even picking teachers based on availability, there was no follow up until well over a week later to say that no one wants me and i need to be more available...... No call or follow up questions. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Would have been fine with communication saying no but after being assured SOMEONE would get back to me. NOPE Just an email over a week later. Thanks for nothing guys
My two boys previously attended a different music school. While it was fun at first and gave them a chance to try different instruments, they weren’t really learning how to play. I then turned to Music Makers after speaking with Janice and learning about their philosophy of teaching children to read music, not just memorize it. At first, my kids didn’t love it because it was more challenging, but after a month they truly enjoy it. I credit Ms. Gulya and Ms. Yasmary for their patience, kindness, and support during my kids’ transition.
Ms. Yasmary and Ms. Jamile are amazing teachers! Very passionate about music and about teaching it to their students the proper way! Thank you both for everything you do for our kids!
Last year my boys had a piano recital. It was a lovely event. As always the teacher surprised the kids with sweets and presents. A huge thanks to our amazing teacher Jamile Nogueira. My boys enjoy every class. It's so important to find welcoming classes where the kids learn how to get a feeling for the instrument. They want to play more, they don’t want to give up. Then more they learn then more they want to play. Piano playing develops kids’ cognitive ability. Do you know, that piano helps to increase your childs’ math ability? Notes and rhythms, as well as music theory, are based on math. Piano improves your kids’ reading skills as well. Piano playing increases your kids’ listening skills. Kids have to learn how to listen to music carefully. Only if you are able to remember how it should sound, will you be able to correct yourself. When playing the piano, you develop the skill of independent coordination. At times, your left and your right hand need to execute totally different movements. I believe we can find more benefits from piano playing. For me nothing sounds better as a background noise than my kids practicing. They explore the instrument, they smile, they are happy. They learn the differents between music, sounds and instruments. I’m proud they can enjoy a symphony with us. They can watch a ballet. Good habits, good teachers, warm relationships in the classroom are the key we need to develop our kids’ education.
