My son Aaron loves his time here at the learning center. He really looks forward to his reading lessons with Mr. Ammar, who is excellent with the kids and has these little ones reading exceptionally well. The math tutoring here has also been a savior for my son, and he is continuing to progress well and has exceeded my expectations. The Murphy learning center was a great choice from the start!!! Highly recommend. And as a bonus, I would really recommend their chess class too, my boy can actually hold his own against me now hahaha …

My daughter went to the Murphy Learning Center more than an year ago. I liked how the owner evaluated my daughter's mathematics skill. She gave me personal feedback in the beginning which I believe my daughter is still struggling with. I also liked the way an African American teacher teaching English Grammar to the third graders. The Center also has chess training. What I did not like about the Learning Center was that it was disorganized at that time. The parents who come there to enroll their children steal a lot of time from the owner, and the other kids don't get attention. That became an ongoing problem. Though they claim the students will get personal attention, I experienced a situation from another Mathematics teacher who did not care about what home work my daughter was supposed to do. Finally I had to pull her out. I don't know how the Center is run now, but I read in another review that the problems still exist. This center can be very successful in the Murphy/Richardson/Wylie area if the owner can change a few things. She needs (1) an accountant or accounting system to keep track of the payment (2) a scheduling system to keep track of the student and teacher schedules (3) schedule meetings with the new customers after regular hours so the existing students will get attention (4) reduce the fee for the after school program because the day cares charge only less than $100 per week for a child (5) Train the teachers to be one-on-one with the students.
