Powered by GoogleMy son's are currently enrolled for Takewondo at this facility and its been great. The instructors are professional and shows they enjoy teaching Takewondo to children. The building location is a major plus its right next door to a park.
Needs to do a better job a marking pool max capacity, today they had people waiting in lines all the way out the door well beyond pool capacity atleast 100 people over. They made everyone wait 30 minutes standing before saying they are at max capacity when they knew it was well over it already. Mabey do a count or ticket number so your not wasting people's time, there were people holding babies sitting in the hot sun that didn't have to if this place was managed properly.
doesn’t matter what time you come, there will never be a free treadmill and you will have to challenge someone to a duel to get a space in the free weights area. i really wish there was more space in here because it’s a great location and the equipment and building are nice. but there is simply too much equipment- just because the equipment can physically fit in the room does not mean there is enough space to USE it. my advice is remove the boxing punch bag area- it takes up so much room and its aggressive and scary when huge men are beating that up and you’re trying to do some squats and lunges 2 feet away. they also do cycle fitness classes in the main gym area, not a separate spin studio which is very annoying and distracting. but what can ya do, it’s a community center 🤷🏻♀️
This place when I visited was hopping, vibrant and full of people. The pool area was impressive. And the basketball court. Front desk people veru nice and informative. The parking is hectic people coming and going. A spot opened for me but parking maybe a challenge. I thought about making this place down for parking. The park next door was clean and nice with kids playground, trees and squirrels.
The Mount Scott community center has always been a nice place for families to hang out and participate in activities. The recent remodel has made it much bigger more modern and much much nicer and it’s actually a very great space.. The pool and the family shower restrooms are still the old ones but much of the entire building has been remodeled and modernized . The staff seems to be friendlier than before, and the service very quick . The gym and weight room is all redone with new equipment and flooring and walls . The entire building has new glass and lots of nice looking wood . Parking is still a bit limited specially during busy times .
