Moonlight Musicals is a Lubbock musical-theatre nonprofit whose Moonlight Youth Theatre runs five week-long summer camps exploring singing, dancing and acting. Camps such as Broadway Dreams and Hollywood Dreams run 9am-3pm with professional teaching artists and end in a Friday parent showcase, held at the outdoor Moonlight Musicals Amphitheatre by Mackenzie Park.

★Latriece BrooksOut of town family came in. This was our first experience. It was a beautiful night and gorgeous setting. BUT It is essential to post on the website to bring lawn chairs and that it was acceptable to. bring drinks. Snacks, and/or dinner. We were sadly disappointed.

★★★★Cynthia WeaverMoonlight Musicals always does a phenomenal production with local talent both onstage and in the orchestra pit. We were there on 6/23/18 for The Music Man. In the middle of the 6th scene, the lights flickered, we heard a loud BOOM and the sound/lighting failed. The cast just kept on going , even though it was hard to hear, for several minutes before Mr. Dolter stopped the show. Evidently LP&L blew a fuse on a nearby transformer. We were kept well informed of repair status as well as alternate options if the show would not be able to continued. After approx 45', the power was restored and the play was completed in entirety. We even had a special appearance from a local feral cat who decided he wanted run across the stage!! Facilities are clean and well maintained. They do have limited concessions and a Bahama Bucks serving 5 different flavors. Bring your own chairs/blankets and picnic foods/beverages to enjoy during the show. Always professional and enjoyable experience! Next show in July - How to Succeed in Business without really trying.....
