Montrose Recreation District runs a range of summer camps for ages 2-15 out of its Montrose facilities. The Summer Enrichment Program for ages 6-14 combines STEM workshops, creative arts, outdoor adventures and personal-growth activities, while a full-day camp rotates campers through games, sports, nature activities, crafts, team challenges and field trips; a middle school program serves 11-14 year olds with team sports, creative arts, fitness and field trips. Separate themed Kids Summer Camps are two-hour sessions of yoga, games, activities and crafts. Full-day sessions are listed at $600 per session with a $350/month half-day option, and scholarships and fee assistance are available.

Clean locker rooms & showers. Easy to use and fully available free & cable weights and cardio machines. Two nice indoor tracks. Friendly staff.

The amenities at this facility are incredible! They have things such as a climbing wall, a full gym, three basketball courts, as well as a leisure and lap pool.

The lifeguards cannot WAIT to nitpick at anything and everything. The “lead” lifeguard tried to challenge me about my own son’s age. He will be 8 in August. He can swim and I still watch him like a hawk. That wasn’t good enough because they weren’t successful in ruining any fun. So later the old lady life guard literally told my kids they can’t step on the water shooting up at the splash pad. Like what..? It’s a pool…?

I love the affordability of this activity center an all the options that come with the membership but what I dont love is the lack of staff upstairs at the gym not paying attention to the machine rules. Teenagers and elderly alike just hogging machines to sit on an talk as if its the local meet an greet. Being loud an obnoxious, not courteous to the other patrons trying to work out an move on. If theres gym rules posted why is the staff not enforcing them? Would love to get the full $40 worth of my membership.

Such an awesome recreation center! My kids take homeschool PE on Wednesdays and Mrs Danielle is just awesome, they absolutely love the class and look forward to it each week. The pools are huge and there's something for everyone! Yoga classes, workout equipment, therapy pool, lots of pickleball and basketball courts. Very lucky to have this so close
