Powered by GoogleDrove here from Colorado. Planned on skiing tomorrow but they are closed Tuesdays in March. I only discovered this by reading the conditions report. This information is not shown on Google maps, the website homepage, or the Indy pass website. The most important places to display that information. Don't waste people's time and gas money. Update your operating hours. I've been skiing for 25+ years at resorts all over the country. I've never heard of a ski resort that's not open 7 days a week. If you are going to close during the week that needs to be prominently displayed everywhere.
1st time and for the conditions so far this season, it was awesome. Definitely not a beginner mountian. If you intermediate to advanced, it's great.
Snowbowl is open for the summer! Check their website for hours and prices. I took the Grizzly lift up and it was $16.00 for an adult. It was a delightful ride up the two person lift. I chose to walk down and the views are incredible.
Montana Snowbowl is a great local ski area. You won't find too many people coming from too far away. But for the seasoned skier or rider, Snowbowl is a great, easy access ski resort for those in Missoula. If the bowl is crusty you can find some good soft snow on Lavelle, and the south facing bowl is a lot of fun in spring corn. I've skied all over the west coast and Snowbowl has some of my favorite tree skiing in the world.
Snowbowl is an absolute gem. If you are expecting Big Sky, then just stay home. This is a local, classic Montana ski hill with massive steep runs, and well maintained snow. I ski all the time at Showdown, and this reminds me a lot of there. The people were super friendly and helpful for tickets and rentals. The pizza was spectacular as well. There were some negative reviews that I saw prior to coming here, but I think many of them were unfounded, and wrong. I would say that you should at least be an intermediate skier, but they do have a lot of variety runs and you'll find something you like. I'll definitely be back again soon
