The Molly Leonard Portland Community Center, in Louisville's Portland neighborhood (640 N. 27th St.), hosts a Louisville Parks and Recreation summer day camp for children ages 5-12, running weekdays from 8am to 5pm with a weekly field trip. Registration is a $20 one-time fee plus $60 weekly. Free open programming for ages 6-12 also runs 11am-5pm during camp weeks.

I call today just to make sure of the hours and age groups and I’m told kids my age can play from 6-8. When my kids get there at 6 , very excited to play , they’re met by the lady at the front desk telling them that they can’t play today because of something a kid did yesterday. As I mentioned , my kids haven’t been there since April so it wasn’t mine and if it happened yesterday, why wasn’t I told today when I called, that they couldn’t play ????? Sounds like to me the lady just wanted to get paid to do NOTHING the last 2 hours of her work day 🤷♀️
