MIKA Manchester's Awesome After School & Summer Camp Programs!

MIKA is amazing all the way around. Their summer program, after school program, martial arts classes and parents night out evenings are all great for your kids. The coaches are wonderful and interact with the kids in such a postive and fun way. The facility is safe and clean. Nothing but great things to say!

MIKA used to be great, but over the last 6 months they have started to go downhill. They are not inclusive despite what they want you to believe, and they love creating a separation of haves and have-nots. I have a son with sensory and executive function issues, and they refuse work with us or him and hold him to the same standards as everyone else ex. standing in line. We have also requested that he be allowed to use his earmuffs/headphones for the noise and were told that we needed a doctor's note which is unheard of. We have not been receiving any communication about special events or end of school year coverage. We were supposed to sign up for the last 2 days of the school year, but no information was ever emailed or told to us until the week of. Speaking of special events, every Wednesday is a pizza day which costs $5 for 1 slice of pizza, no drink, no extra treats. This speaks more to their money hungriness and creating a greater atmosphere of the haves and have nots. They like to nickel and dime everything, they used to do free field trips every week in the summer and last year there were only 4 or 5 each costing $25, even for free places like Viles Arboretum (no lunch included). I expect this type to greed from a large company, not a local childcare where the kids wonder why they don't get to go on field trips or have an ice cream party, but their peers do. Edit: To make this even worse, my child was expelled due to this true review and legal action was threatened. They are desperate that no one sees what is really happening, but I have heard from so many other parents who go to MIKA or have gone to MIKA that they have experienced the same things.
